Page Flip Transition

Postby Linear » Mon Nov 20, 2006 7:19 pm

I was looking through some examples of flash sites for some inspiration when I cam across this really cool page with a page type flip transition. NOT the one where you flip the page of the book, but where the content is, the page kind of twirls, almost like its 3D. Here is the site where I saw it, it's the last one in the second row. http://www.hotplum.com/web_templates_tm/dy...h_templates.htm Would I just have to transform a rectangle to make it look perspective, or is their and easier way like using After Effects?

looks like you might have to do a little frame-by-frame to get the same effect due to the curve on the edge of the page as it flips, but yeah, i think you'd just start with a simple rectangle and start nudging it here and there until you get the desired effect. also note the subtle shading on the page as it flips. nicely done.
